Our Story
Secoma Fence, Inc. has been in business since 1968 — over 55 years of metalwork, fabrication, and installation across Washington State. Our powder coating and fabrication division grew out of the need to control quality and scheduling for our own fence and gate projects.
What started as an in-house capability quickly became a service that other contractors, fabricators, and businesses needed. Today, Secoma Powder Coating & Fabrication serves anyone with metal finishing needs — from individual homeowners refinishing patio furniture to large contractors needing batch coating for production runs.
We powder coat everything. Gates, fences, railings, automotive parts, motorcycle frames, patio furniture, industrial equipment, architectural metalwork, light fixtures, artwork — if it's metal, we can coat it. Our facility handles items up to 26 feet in length.
Our Facility
Our shop in Puyallup houses everything needed for complete metal finishing under one roof — sandblasting booth, powder coating spray booth, curing ovens, and a full fabrication shop with welding, cutting, and forming equipment.
Having all operations in one facility means items go from blasting to coating without transportation between shops. Freshly blasted surfaces get coated promptly, eliminating flash rust. Quality control happens at every step, not just at the end.

Quality Commitment
Quality is verified, not assumed. We test coating thickness, adhesion, and color consistency on every job. Items that don't meet standards don't ship.
- Electronic thickness measurement at multiple locations on each piece
- Crosshatch adhesion testing to verify proper bonding
- Visual inspection for coverage, runs, and contamination
- Color verification against specification or approved sample
- Proper surface preparation verified before coating application
